Tirkit Studio (“we”, “our”, “us”) built the Tirkit app (“the App”) as a music practice application, offered free with optional paid features. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and why.
Summary
Tirkit works almost entirely on your device. All audio is generated on your phone, and your settings stay on your phone. The only information that leaves your device relates to purchases and free trials: a device identifier and your purchase status, which our payments provider needs in order to give you access to paid features.
Information We Collect
We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or files. The App has no user accounts and no registration. It does not record audio, and it does not request microphone access.
When you start a free trial or make a purchase, the following is sent to our payments provider, RevenueCat:
- A device identifier. On Android this is the Android ID (SSAID); on iOS it is the identifier for vendor (IDFV). This is not the advertising identifier, and it is never used for advertising.
- Purchase records — which product you bought or trialled, and whether your paid access is currently active.
We use this information for two purposes only: to unlock the paid features you have paid for, and to prevent abuse of the free trial. Without a device identifier, the free trial could be restarted indefinitely by reinstalling the App, which would be unfair to people who pay.
Payment itself is handled by the app store you downloaded the App from — the Apple App Store on iOS, or Google Play on Android. We never see or receive your card details.
Device Identifier
The device identifier described above is tied to your device, not to you personally. We cannot use it to learn your identity, and we do not combine it with any other information about you. It is not used for advertising, marketing, or tracking you across other apps or websites. On Android it is reset by a factory reset; on iOS it is reset when you uninstall all apps from Tirkit Studio.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, all only in connection with purchases:
- RevenueCat manages purchases and entitlements on our behalf, and processes the information described above. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
- Apple App Store (on iOS) processes payments. See Apple’s privacy policy.
- Google Play Billing (on Android) processes payments. See Google’s privacy policy.
The App contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools, no crash reporting services, and no social features.
Data Storage and Security
Your preferences and saved presets (such as taals, ragas, tempo, volumes, and instrument settings) are stored locally on your device using standard platform storage. We have no access to them, and uninstalling the App removes them.
Information sent to RevenueCat is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and is retained by RevenueCat for as long as your purchase record exists.
Data Deletion Requests
You can ask us to delete the information associated with your device at any time. Email tirkit.app@gmail.com from any address with the subject “Data deletion request”, and tell us which platform you use (Android or iOS) and the approximate date of any purchase. We will delete the associated purchase record within 30 days and confirm by email.
Please note that deleting your purchase record may also remove access to a purchase or a trial you have already used. Records that the Apple App Store or Google Play hold about your payment are governed by Apple’s and Google’s own policies, and requests for those should be directed to them.
Preferences stored on your device are removed simply by uninstalling the App.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold, or to object to its use. Contact us at tirkit.app@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children’s Privacy
Tirkit is suitable for users of all ages, including children. It is a music practice tool: there is no advertising, no tracking, no social features, no chat, and no user-generated content of any kind.
We never ask any user, child or adult, for a name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or files, and the App does not record audio or request microphone access.
The only information collected from any user, including children, is the device identifier and purchase record described above. In the terms of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), this is used solely to support the internal operations of the App — giving access to features that have been paid for, and preventing the free trial from being restarted repeatedly. It is never used for advertising, never used to build a profile of anyone, and never used to contact anyone. We do not share it with anyone other than the payment providers named above, who process it on our behalf.
Purchases are optional. Making one requires an Apple Account or a Google account and a payment method, which on a child’s device are normally controlled by a parent through Apple’s Family Sharing or Google Play’s family settings.
Parents and guardians may contact us at tirkit.app@gmail.com to ask what information is associated with a device, or to have it deleted. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
